Community Policing Programs

Below is a list of programs and services offered by the Commerce Police Department.

Bicycle Registration Program - This program is designed to help deter bicycle theft.  If you or your child would like to have their bicycle registered, please bring it to the police station and an officer will registered it, engrave an unique number on the bike and place a sticker so any would be thief can see that it is registered with the Commerce Police Department.

KidPrint Identification - This program is offered at the Police Department and is designed to give parents the information they need in case their child is missing or has been kidnapped.  We provide two wallet cards with your child's pertinent information so it will be readily accessible in case of emergency.

Vacation House Watch - With this program, our officers check on your house while you are away on vacation.  It requires that you complete a house watch form and turn it in to the Police Department to be placed in our house watch book.  This program does not guarantee that your house will be safe, but with the visibility of a marked police car driving by your house numerous times a day serves as a deterrent to burglars.

Bicycle Safety Classes - These classes are offered at the request of the school district or any community member.

Department Tours - Tours of the police department can be scheduled at anytime by calling 903-886-1139.

If you have a request for a program that is not listed on this page, please contact our Community Resource Officer Bobby George at 903-886-1139 or email  bgeorge@koyote.com.
